I, (parent/guardian), hereby give permission for my child, to participate in Holy Family Catholic School’s Battle of the
Books Program during the 2024-2025 school year. I understand that my child will be under the supervision of
Ms. Dunlop, scheduled Thursday afternoons from 3-3:30 pm beginning Sept. 12, and that I, as parent
or legal guardian, remain fully responsible for any legal responsibility which may result from any personal
actions taken by my child named above. I will make every ef ort to help my child obtain and read all
assigned books by the due date for each book.
Students will meet in the Library. Pick-up will be in the parking lot in front of the school at approximately 3:30
pm. For safety reasons you must come to the door to collect your student. They will not be permitted to walk
across the parking lot to your car. If a student is participating in an after-school sport or extended care, they
will be released to that location following Battle of the Books. (If you have other students, you must go
thru the carpool line to pick them up before driving around to park up in front of the school at
3:30 pm.)
Ms. Dunlop will only have one personal set of books in the library, so please acquire a set of your own. Many
are available free through the public library in hard copy, via hoopla digital, or Libby digital. You may also
purchase copies online at Amazon, Thriftbooks, or AbeBooks. We look forward to a great book club experienc
