Library

The aim of the Holy Family Catholic School library is one of service to the entire school community. Our library helps prepare students for the future by establishing discriminating reading habits and the ability to evaluate what has been read. Library materials are chosen for their capacity to implement, enrich, and support the education program of the school, and will meet the needs and abilities of the individual students.

The Diocesan Library Curriculum teaches students at each grade level to understand how to use public and private library resources, conduct research, avoid plagiarism and copyright infringement, and much more.

Our library holds approximately 6,500 titles which can be searched with our online catalog.

Library programs including Battle of the Books, the Middle School Book Club, Book Fairs, and Poetry Café introduce students to a variety of book genres and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Battle of the Books:

Fifth and sixth grade students are eligible to participate in the Arlington Diocese Battle of the Books Competition. Participating schools field a team that meets throughout the school year to read and study a set list of books before the competition in May.

Holy Family’s team won first place in 2022!
